Daniel L. Behler (b. 1999) is a music teacher, conductor, and performer currently based in Leesport, Pennsylvania. A tenor & trumpet player, Dan also has experience as a conductor, pianist, & actor. In May of 2021, he graduated summa cum laude from Lebanon Valley College, with Bachelor degrees in Music Education & Vocal Music. He currently works at Cocalico Middle School, where he teaches 6th & 7th Grade General Music, 8th Grade Performing Arts, and directs both the 7th & 8th Grade Chorus and CMS Select Singers

At LVC, Dan was involved in various ensembles. A four year member of the LVC Choirs, he served the concert choir as tenor section leader for over two years and as President for the 2019-2020 academic year. As a trumpet player, Dan performed with the Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Pride of the Valley Marching Band, & Valley Jazz Orchestra, serving as section leader for the latter two. He was also employed by the Pride of the Valley as a band manager for two years.

Beyond ensembles, Dan enjoyed membership in various student organizations. He worked with the Wig and Buckle Theater Company, vocal directing their 2019 production of "Godspell" and appearing on stage in various shows. An active member of LVC's chapter of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), Dan served terms as Vice President, Bandfest, coordinating a full-fledged middle school band festival, and President in 2020. Similarly, he served as President of the Iota Kappa Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity the same year, having previously been the chapter's Music Director.
Dan continues to serve the Fraternity as the Collegiate Province Representative of Province 21, advising nine chapters at institutions throughout Eastern and Central Pennsylvania. |
